Certified Physician Assistant
Bill Dougherty is a certified Physician Assistant who has assisted Dr. Shokat since 2012.
He has specialized training in orthopaedic medicine and pain management as well as internal medicine, family practice, and rural medicine. Mr. Dougherty began his medical career in the U.S. Army and served for twenty years. He received a Master of Science from the University of Nebraska and a Bachelor of Science, Physician Associate from the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Dougherty is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Inc. Additionally, he has an associate certification in Controlled Substance Management. Professional affiliations include American Academy of Physician Assistants. Mr. Dougherty has received numerous professional and military awards. He resides with his wife and two dogs near Thomasville, Georgia. Mr. Dougherty is an active member of the community and is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
