Dr. Shokat is a very good doctor who cares about patients. I had a trial spinal cord implant done today and everything seems to have gone smoothly. I will see how things go this week of the trial. Hopefully it will give me relief from pain. I would recommend his practice to anyone. From the front desk to the doctor, everyone is pleasant and attentive to ur needs.

This is one of the best practices I’ve ever been to. Everyone works great together for the well-being of the patient.. it’s nice to see smiling and friendly faces when you don’t feel great or are having a procedure done. I was very afraid of getting a Injection in my lower back, very nervous. I went to my first appointment for the injection, did not get it because I was so afraid. I made another appointment because my Pais continued to really hurt. Went back for the injection , they made me feel so comfortable and I was stressing for nothing. The injection was not bad at all. Day later I’m starting to feel much better. If you are bothered with pain, I recommend this doctors office, from a retired Veteran take my word.

Everyone was extremely attentive and kind during prep time to get me ready for Dr Shokat to give me the injection in my shoulder. Dr Shokat was very pleasant, as he always is, and took his time in determining best site to inject to provide most and longest lasting time of pain relief As always, I was very pleased with care I received at SIPC and would recommend this practice to anyone suffering from chronic pain.

The experience with the nurse and physician was great and they made me very comfortable; however, the staff at the front desk was inexperienced, rude, judgmental, and blurted all of my information as well as my wife’s out loud and was specifying our name. They were going over my chart and was talking about all of the questions that were answered like it was their amusement. I was the only patient in the back and could hear all of it. When I left, a friend of one of my family members who has been one of my worst influences in my life, (my parents), were sitting in the lobby and heard everything that was said about mine and my wife’s personal information and reasons we were there. It was very humiliating and it should be kept private. I have been trying to stay away from my negative influences and this just opened another doorway for them. So much for privacy and HIPPA. I am giving five stars only for the reason that I thought the nurse and the doctor was amazing and did an excellent job.

I like how he tells you what he’s doing. I have been with him 4-5 years. And got drugged over two years ago at a bar and dirty tested.. never was off on my pill count and was hoping he could put me back on a few hydrocodone,under supervision, it really is the only thing that helps the pain. Please consider.

Dr. Shokat has been very helpful in managing my pain and is always very patient and thorough explaining things and answering questions. Went in for my monthly appointment and also got an injection in my shoulder. Dr. Shokat was amazing worked me into the schedule for the injection. He is very good with the injections and it was painless for me. I can’t give him and his staff enough kudos. They set a great example of how a Doctors office should be and I truly believe they are proud of that and rightfully so.

Professional, experienced, confident, and caring Doctor and assistant. Friendly and welcoming environment and office staff. I was nervous and anxious about the cervical steroid injection procedure, I had never experienced anything like it beforehand. I received caring assurance from all the staff, they all listened intently. My concerns were addressed calmly and with professional knowledge about the procedure. The procedure was successfully completed and I left there relaxed, happy, and thankful. I have other appointments coming up within a week or two. Dr Shokat is simply a human. I think he Comprehends pain and the situations that others simply ignore. I have to also add that the shots and blocks performed are done with pride rather then being money driven. Shots are done with imaging and never just haphazardly done like at ALL other locations..from Mayo to Shands I have not had anyone take the time to hit the spot. From my knee ,and hand to my spine . All procedures have been successfully performed.

Always treated respectfully, and professionally, I have had several procedures on my back and my neck, They were worked every time I got them done. I was truly doubtful that they really would do as good as they have done, I had surgery on my lower back several years ago and the pain has returned. I have had three epidurals on my back and two of those times the pain was probably 80% percent better two of those times for about 3 months, I highly recommend them to everyone I come in contact with that needs pain management. They are also nice, and that matters.

Doctor Showcat has been awesome. Going to a pain management clinic and being afraid of opioids doctor Showcat has done a great job. I definitely feel like my quality of life has improved while under his care.

Everyone is so nice and all about taking care of the patient. I know that when I go to the office I am greeted with a smile, if I’m in pain, they make sure to help me with that. There are options like burning the nerves in the area of the worst pain. I definitely would advise anyone to go to Dr Shokat. I’m so thankful I found him. I have never been treated so kindly anywhere else. The nurses are all exactly what a good nurse should be, it’s all about caring and everyone in the office shows that they do. Thank you for giving me an opportunity to let you know how blessed I feel each time I come to the office.

Pain center Dr Shokat and Johnathon pain was sent by Jesus. Everyone is so awesome. The one that sedated me and the nurses putting in IV have never hurt me. They are all by far the greatest pain center I have ever been to. Thank you all

Great professional, wasn’t hard to find the office at all and I don’t know much about how to get around Thomasville but the navigator worked perfect helping me to get there on time. So far today I’ve been better now to get the hot flashes caused from the steroids out of my system or is that a good thing?

My experience this morning with DR. Shokat and his team was excellent. I felt they were present and focused on me, the reason I say that is because Tuesdays are procedure days and they had a full schedule. Everyone from receptionist to discharge and in between thank you for making my experience one that was extremely pleasant. RTW

I have used the services of SIPC for several years and have never had a complaint. It has been some time since Dr. Shokat has turned me over to Jonathan Tarin, NP. I have been extremely satisfied with the care I have received from Jonathan. He is compassionate and takes to listen and never makes you feel rushed. IF he doesn’t know the answerer or needs a second opinion he doesn’t hesitate to turn to Dr. Shokat or Dr. Boltja for advice. From the time I walk in the door, Chris greets by name. There have been times he has come outside with a wheelchair to assist me inside. Then there is Stephanie! What can I say about Stephanie? She’s the best. She runs around like the energizer bunny assisting the doctors and Jonathan but she always takes time to listen and learn the latest about what I am going through with my back so she can better relate to Jonathan my current condition. Between Chris, Stephanie, and Jonathan, they create a warm and welcoming atmosphere to SIPC. They are always very professional yet also very personable. If you are in need of the services of a Pain Center, you won’t be disappointed with Southern Interventional Pain Center. You’ll be glad you did!

I am very happy with Dr. Shokat helped me a lot with my back pain. He listens and understands and willing to work with patient. Was going to Thomasville Pain Center for years did not help me with my pain they were more interested in prescribing pills then helping the patient.

I was scheduled for my first appointment quickly, which is rare these days! Dr. Shokat thoroughly discussed all of my options, and readily answered all of my questions regarding the science behind my symptoms. He did not act rushed and seemed to be very patient focused. Excellent,as always. Yesterday was for an injection in my shoulder. My Orthopaedic had performed an injection over a week ago with minimal results. The procedure yesterday was so successful that I was able to sleep comfortably through the night and have more use of my shoulder than in months. A+

Dr.Shokat and Sharma have been wonderful in getting me the best treatment possible. They take the time to answer questions and explain your options in treatment. My experience today with Dr. Shokat was very smooth as usual. His professionalism and concern for my health and pain relief are evident. I received a spinal nerve block with sedation, Dr. Shokat and the staff were friendly and personable. They explained the process and made sure that I understood the expectations of it. I felt comfortable and was at ease before and after the procedure. Melissa and Stephanie are prompt about my follow-up appointments and home care. I was very satisfied with the results of the procedure, which is important. However I was not impressed with the staff. Not following through with my insurance I had to take care of the communication with my insurance company. I am glad that they paid. The P A was very through but wanted to argue when we tried to explain why we had a concern. It was obvious that they did not believe what we were trying to tell them. Did not make me want to go back.
